HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE
Nice Touch Driving School (NTDS) was founded by John and Gail Sabanosh who began doing business in 1994. The couple was inspired to create NTDS when they researched driving schools in their area for their two daughters. They found no local reputable driving schools and none recognized by AAA. John realized he had the qualifications and expertise to start his own driving school. He was a sergeant of the Madison Police Department for over 25 years and during which, he spent many years head of the Traffic Division. NTDS was incorporated in 1994, and began operations out of the family home in Whippany, NJ. Initially, NTDS had a small clientele, mostly customers from the local area but, became well known and eventually expanded out of the family home and into its current location at 470 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ. With hard work and total dedication of John and Gail, NTDS had developed into a successful local driving school.
In 2001, Dr. Anthony F. Cupo, a business professor from County College of Morris, became interested in NTDS. He immediately saw the value of this small but reputable driving school. He also realized the potential to expand upon its idea. In July of 2001, Anthony decided to purchase the business. At the time, the business consisted of a small staff; a part-time instructor and a part-time secretary.

Using his many years of business experience, Anthony was able to greatly expand his newly acquired business. As a result, the staff has tripled to include five driving instructors and four AAA Driver Improvement Program (DIP) instructors. Today, NTDS is ranked highly and respected with driving schools through out Morris County and, we are one of the few driving schools in Northern New Jersey certified to teach AAA Driver Improvement Programs. |
